Your words are private. We do not sell your data. We do not monetize through ads. The app is funded through a one-time purchase that unlocks additional features, so you are never the product. Your text never leaves your device.

What We Collect

Second Draft collects minimal data, limited to what is needed to support purchases and understand general app usage.

Purchase and entitlement data

We use a third-party service to manage in-app purchases. This service assigns an anonymous device identifier to track your purchase state. No name, email, or personal information is associated with this identifier. Purchase history is used solely to determine your entitlement to Second Draft Pro.

Anonymous usage data

We may collect anonymous product interaction data — such as which features are used — to understand how the app is being used. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or tracking.

Data Stored on Your Device

We store your transform history and preferences locally on your device using Apple's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.
